Demolition in Toongabbie runs into a boundary problem long before it runs into a machine. The suburb sits inside postcode 2146, but three consent authorities share the land underneath it. City of Parramatta Council holds 51.8 per cent by land area. Blacktown City Council holds 36.0 per cent, and Cumberland Council the remaining 12.2 per cent. Your street number, not the suburb name, decides whose desk the paperwork lands on.
Super Demolition is a family owned and managed demolition contractor working in Toongabbie and across western Sydney. We hold a current Demolition Licence and an Asbestos Removal Licence, and we work to Australian Standard 2601-2001 under NSW WorkCover requirements. Because Toongabbie is split between three councils, we confirm which one assesses your address before a quote is written.
Nothing on the ground marks where one council area stops and the next begins. The lines run through the middle of Toongabbie rather than around it, so two houses a short walk apart can answer to different authorities on identical work. The postcode will not settle it either, because a postcode identifies a mail run rather than a consent authority.
So we test the address instead. Street level attribution here has been checked from two directions that had no knowledge of each other: NSW geocoded addressing and Blacktown City Council’s own consent records agree on which Toongabbie roads sit on the Blacktown side. The Crescent is one of the streets carrying repeat demolition work, with approvals recorded across several properties over recent years.
File with the wrong authority and the whole set has to be rebuilt for the other council while the block sits untouched.
A contractor who leaves the approvals to the owner hands back the slowest part of the job. This is ours:
You sign. We chase the rest.
Jack owns Super Demolition and usually walks the property with you himself. The business is family owned and managed, with over 30 years of experience behind it. Two things you can ask us to produce before you commit:

A Complying Development Certificate is issued by a private certifier against a fixed set of standards, with nothing left to judgement. Meet every standard and the certificate can issue, and a straightforward knockdown of a single dwelling on a compliant lot is the usual candidate.
A Development Application goes to council and is assessed on merit. Anything outside those standards lands there: a subdivision or dual occupancy tied to the demolition, a heritage item or conservation area, or contamination on the lot.
Both main portions have been measured. Across the Blacktown portion, complying development certificates account for 50.4 per cent of demolition approvals. Across the City of Parramatta portion the share is 55.4 per cent. Neighbouring Old Toongabbie sits higher again at 65.0 per cent. All of that falls inside the 50 to 65 per cent band recorded across every jurisdiction measured, so the certifier route carries a little over half the work and merit assessment the rest. Eligibility follows the land and the scope of work, never preference.
Nobody can give you an honest figure over the phone, and a rate per square metre is the least reliable version of that guess. Two houses of the same floor area price very differently when one has asbestos in the eaves and a driveway too tight for a truck. What moves the number: what the building is made of, whether asbestos is present, how a machine gets in and out, the paved area coming up, and how much material can be recycled instead of tipped.
We look first and price after. The written quote itemises the work, the approvals and the disposal, and that is the figure you pay: no hidden fees, no variations. Hold a written quote from another contractor and we will beat it.
On a knockdown rebuild the house goes and so does the rest of the block: garage, shed, carport, fencing, driveway, paving, footings and the slab. Pools are filled or dug out. Partial demolition is just as common, taking out one wing or the internals of a tenancy while the structure stays standing. For a shop, warehouse or office, our commercial demolition service stages the work so the businesses either side keep trading.
Older houses hold the usual surprises behind the linings. Fibro sheeting, vinyl tiles and cement sheet under a bathroom floor become licensed work the moment they are disturbed, and that stays on the same contract through our asbestos removal service rather than becoming somebody else’s problem halfway through.
The same crews and the same licences work across Western Sydney, including:
It is, and it has been confirmed independently more than once. City of Parramatta Council covers the largest share of Toongabbie by land area, Blacktown City Council the next, and Cumberland Council a smaller portion again. Send the street number and we name yours.
On both main council portions of Toongabbie a little over half of demolition approvals run that way, so a plain knockdown often can. Add a subdivision, a dual occupancy or a heritage constraint and it goes to council on merit.
It changes the sequence. Asbestos comes out first under our own licence, carted separately, before the machine starts on the structure.
Yes. That is common on older Toongabbie stock, where an owner keeps the front rooms and clears everything behind. The retained structure is propped first.

Three councils meet inside the Toongabbie boundary and none of them is written on your letterbox, which is why a quote here starts from an address rather than a suburb. Tell us the street number and what is standing on the block, and the council answer arrives beside the price. Ring 0455 888 819 or email info@superdemolition.com.au.
